Pocketry is an independent publisher based in Melbourne, Australia.
It was founded in late 2019 by poet and self-confessed book geek Indrani Perera with the aim of providing a home for unheard voices.
The first issue of the pocket-sized print journal, the Pocketry Almanack, was published in February 2020.
Pocketry began as a place for emerging and aspiring poets to get their work published in a literary journal. Since then Pocketry has awarded the Pocketry Prize for Unpublished Poets, launched the second season of its successful Pocketry Presents Podcast, published its second pocket guide, Pocketry’s Guide to Editing Poetry, and created an online shop.
